How to measure ring size – 3 simple methods

How do you measure your ring size? Measure the circumference of your finger in millimeters with a string, measuring tape, or an existing ring and compare this with the ring size chart. Method 1: with a string or strip of paper

• Wrap a string or narrow strip of paper around the base of your finger, where you want to wear the ring
• Make sure it fits well – not too tight, not too loose
• Mark the point where the string or paper overlaps
• Measure the length with a ruler in millimeters (mm)
• Compare the measurement with the ring size chart below

Method 2: measuring with an existing ring

• Take a ring that already fits well
• Measure the inside diameter of the ring with a ruler in millimeters
• Compare the diameter with the ring size chart below

Method 3: ring sizer at the jeweler

• The most accurate method is using a ring sizer (ring size gauge)
• Slide the ring sizer over your finger until it fits well
• The number on the ring sizer is your ring size
• You can also go to a jeweler for a free measurement
